shrunk
"Look mom," Buttercup says, "it shrunk and shrunk and shrunk." The look on her face deadly serious. Her manner grave. "My blranket, it shrunk and shrunk." She holds up her pillow sham, just out of the washer, tries to cover herself, "It too small." Dh and I giggle and giggle. "It too small. It baby Brick's blranket now." She walks down the hall and throws it into his room.
I'm still impressed that she knows what "shrunk" means, can pronouce it so that I understood, and can to use it correctly.

I'm surprised she gave up on her blanket so easily. When my daughter's beloved "blue blanky" had 2 holes burned into it (left over a lamp...we're lucky to still have a roof over our heads!) there were hysterics, tears and panic until I was able to patch it up.
